Ana Tijoux was born in France to a French mother and a Chilean father in political exile during Pinochet's dictatorship. She retuned to Chile after his regime fell, and became a politically-charged hip-hop singer who has collaborated with people like Mexican rock star Julieta Venegas. The Latin MC brings her wheels of steel to the Greene Space for a live performance.

Big ups...this is not sleep inducing. If you love hip-hop and appreciate artists crafting words + rhymes, you would realize that not only is Ana an amazing female emcee...but an amazing EMCEE period rapping in Spanish. Her lyrics are smart, funny, and she can perform live as you can see and hear. Que viva people EXPRESSING + PERFORMING! Ana - keep rocking!

Anna's a fun guest, fractured English and all. Just about impossible to watch the webstream though. The images keep freezing and buffering.
