The 22-year-old Korean-born violinist Hahn-Bin looks a bit like a punk rocker, with his black mohawk haircut and matching leather pants.

That unconventional appearance complements his programs, which proceed in "chapters" and mix the obscure and familiar. A winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Hahn-Bin made headlines last year when he left his 184-year-old, $500,000 violin in a taxi in Manhattan (later recovered). He joins us to perform live.

Your Hahn-Bin mp3 for Soundcheck on 5/5/10 is the clip for the best picks, not for Hohn-Bin

Absolutely wonderful interview. Does anyone know the name of the first song he performed?
