Charles Bradley (Kisha Bari)

Funk and R&B singer Charles Bradley’s life story is filled with poverty, struggle and unappreciated talent. But after catching the eye of a Daptone Records agent (while doing a James Brown routine in a Bushwick club) Charles Bradley put out his first record earlier this year. It’s called “No Time For Dreaming,” and the soulful singer will join us to sing some of it live.

The most amazing musical experience I have had...in Vancouver this year in a small club...Mr. Bradley's voice was so big the club's address changed halfway through the show...The pure emotion shown through a beautifully humble gesture of walking through the crowd hugging people, Charles Bradley is It...every respect! He is welcome back anytime!

Superb! Saw these guys at the Sea Sessions in Sligo - Eire. Talk about an emotional experience!!! I was screaming like a teenage girl, not at all embarrassing.

this guy was great! such a refreshing change from the usual questionably talented indie rockers that seem to dominate these days, thank you!

What an exciting singer with a great natural feel, who doesn't get bogged down with histrionics or melissma. More power to him!
