They were the hippest thing on the island of Jamaica in the late '50s, when Errol Flynn gave them their name. Flynn is long gone, but The Jolly Boys remain, and nearly 55 years later, they might still be the hippest thing on the island of Jamaica. Their latest album features covers of songs by The Clash, Iggy Pop and Amy Winehouse done in the pre-reggae style known as mento. Check out their performance of the song “Emmanuel Road” live in The Greene Space.

Sorry, gotta disagree with others here. They just ruined Riders On The Storm for me.
Wonderful! Heard the Boys live 20 years ago, they sound as fresh and animated as ever. Live long! Long live the Jolly Boys!
The live video feed doesn't seem to be working.
Great stuff, these guys are cool.
Woudl they have been considered "Rude Boys" like the early ska bands?
