The secret’s out: our in-studio guest today is Iron & Wine. The acclaimed indie-folk group joins us in-studio for a sneak preview of “Kiss Each Other Clean,” the band’s first album of new material in three years. And: clear your calendar for tonight. Join John Schaefer and an audience of about 150 people in The Greene Space at 8 p.m. for an exclusive NPR Music “First Listen” concert. Iron & Wine will perform the new album in its entirety for the first time, three weeks before its release date.
(Psst: Can’t make it? Click here at 8 p.m. for live audio and video webcasts!)

Im kind of disappointed.... Everywhere on this site says "performed in its entirety". Unless Im missing something, there is no performance of "walking far from home" which is a really great song. Please stop promoting this show as "in its entirety" as its not the whole album.
Now that everyone knows who it is, can I ask if this particular live show will be archived?
I won't be near a radio at 8pm.
Ah bummer! I would have much rather seen Sam and company this evening than REM (no offense, Michael).
can it pleeease be gorillaz? (only i guess they had an album this year...)
Iron & Wine with Rosie Thomas?
Props to Facebook friend Jenny for guessing Men at Work. They're not on the show today, but you might hear "Who Will It Be" during the show. Because we can't resist.
REM has been a common guess, but Soundcheck will not get a visit from Stipe & Co. today. Think "indie" ... although maybe not so indie very soon ...
the Fugees?
Back. REM was my immediate guess as well.
Chris you are probably right ... REM. If its REM, I think i may glue myself to the window.
REM
Matthew, Melissa, and Ooh: All good guesses. Getting warmer! Jeremy from Manhattan, speak up!
my bet is on Bright Eyes!
Mogwai
Devo
please guess
Should we leave our guess here? It came rather quickly to me when I read the email . . .
