In Studio: Les Chauds Lapins

Thursday, March 24, 2011

The sounds of French swing from the 1920s, 30s and 40s have been resurrected in Brooklyn by the band Les Chauds Lapins – the hot rabbits. Using the instruments of traditional American music and an art rock sensibility, these lusty bunnies play some of their surprising arrangements live in the studio.

Heard Les Chauds Lapins on Soundcheck and thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to put them on my facebook "share" to get the word out, but can't do it from either their own website or from soundcheck. Tried Youtube, but their videos are not very good quality there. How the heck are they going to get known?? My son and his friends live in Brooklyn, but all I can do is send the link to them.... which they may not bother with. Give us access to sharing a GOOD recording or two!

This ensemble is a gem, especially live. Thank you for having them on your show.
