Singer-songwriter Henry Wolfe grew up on the East Coast, but consciously moved to Los Angeles to launch his solo musical career. Although he’s the first musician to come out of his immediate family, the son of actress Meryl Streep grew up with some interesting musical opportunities… like going backstage to meet Michael Jackson as a youngster. He joins us in the studio with his band to play songs from his debut album, “Linda Vista.”

He's been working as a musician for YEARS. I've followed him since the Bravo Silva days. About 7 years ago. It would have been so easy for him to have used his mom to get ahead back then, but he didn't. He did it the hard way. He's worked so hard to get where he is now. And he's TALENTED. Is it so hard to believe that a child of a celebrity can also have talent too?
Maybe the fact that Meryl Streep is his mom gets him some attention, but that doesn't sell out his shows. And they sell out. His music speaks for itself.
@thatgirl from manhattan
@ bitter and jaded (suits you, btw)
a question for you two:
if the baker around the corner gave his son a job at the family business, would you write a nasty message on their window? would you even give a rat's a**?
but if meryl streep's daughters become actresses and her son a musician, then (I am guessing moved by pure jealousy) you think it is ok for you to come here to rant about it.
Well for what is worth, I think he's a very talented musician and he's worked his a*rse off the last few years just to be where he is today, regardless of his parentage.
bitter and jaded: i'm with you, i'm afraid. given that the past year and a half was all about both "wolf's" sisters "coming out" as model/actresses, it would appear that the gummer family negotiated a package deal on their p.r.
pity the lowly musician, and all that.
What a fabulous sound! The keyboard player is amazing!
Great sound. Remiscent of a your Paul McCartney but with his own individual style.
with all due respect, would anyone even know who this guy is if he were not the son of meryl streep? would he be on soundcheck?
Why does this remind me of Michael Penn?
The keyboard player for Henry Wolfe is a red hot genius!
