Paula Morelenbaum is one of Brazil’s finest singers, and spent 10 years with the famed Brazilian songwriter Antonio Carlos Jobim’s band. She’ll sing one of Jobim’s hits and the haunting theme from the film "Black Orpheus" when she joins us in the studio.

Paul Meyers was my guitar teacher in 94-96. Beautiful man, Beautiful music. Thanks Paul for enriching my life.
beautiful! nothing like her--sounds sooooo good! fell in love with her and jobim and jmorelenbaum first time i went to brazil. thank you to the guy in the music shop in rio that stocked my collection with this and other wonderful brazilian music never heard here.
Jobim's music is wonderful, and his lyrics are lightyears beyond those of American pop music. He was a genius.
dreamy and beautiful
John,
A few years ago, a Brazilian neighbor here in Penn South Co-ops in Chelsea introduced me to Paula and Jacques Morelenbaum's music. Two of my favorite CDs in my CD collection are (1) "Morelenbaum2/Sakmoto:Casa" and (2) "A Day in New York". I often play these CDs when I have company and they are almost universally enjoyed.
Even after all these years of listening to your show, I am still amazed at the great variety of music you present to your listeners. Bravo to you!
Ash
