In our next installment of Soundcheck's "Blind Date" series, we’ve set you, the listener, up on a radio date. Your match this week is Bright Moments – a band of Brooklynites who’ve logged countless hours as sidemen for Beirut, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and more. Now, they’re stepping into the spotlight, with a debut full length of melodic pop songs. They’ll join us for a Soundcheck Blind Date, and attempt to win over your hearts—and ears.

"Behind the Gun" on Soundcheck was even better than the version I just paid $1.29 for from iTunes! Thanks for introducing me to such a great band.

Forty years ago I was a DJ on WLIR-FM. This was the kind of musical discovery that made my job a joy! Thanks to WNYC for keeping music alive.

They won me over! One of the songs they played was 'Travelers'; what was the other song?
'Bright Moments' on a Friday afternoon...thanks for the early start to my weekend. Great band.
