Bahamas: In Studio

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

Finding information on the internet about Afie Jurvanen’s music isn’t very easy – instead, searches pull up resort websites, travel information and island maps. But going by the moniker Bahamas hasn’t been all bad. The Canadian musician was nominated for a Juno and Polaris Prize for his first album, “Pink Strat.” He joins us in the studio on the day that his sophomore album, “Barchords,” is released.

Sometimes it's better to hear the recording before a live acoustic set...i really dig Bahamas and now I have to readjust my ears for the full band...otherwise absolutely brilliant!

"Bahamas" sounded amazing! Beautiful vocals and very listenable songs. Afie writes well and plays well, too. Where can we get their new CD? It sounds great. Thank you for bringing them to our attention. And the sound quality of the live performance is remarkable, steaming into my iMac. Cheers!
