Divine Fits
(Marina Chavez)
Britt Daniel is an artist with a very keen knack for reinvention. The Austin-based musician and producer is probably best known for fronting the band Spoon, a group that, for more than fifteen years, has had a distinctive sound -- melodic indie rock with a tight, almost nervous, beat -- even while it changes from album to album and even song to song. This summer, Daniel has reinvented himself it again -- not with Spoon, but with his band Divine Fits, a project with Wolf Parade's Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown of The New Bomb Turks. KCRW DJ Anne Litt brings us a look at Daniel's musical evolution through the years.
