Cate Le Bon performs live in the Soundcheck studio.

Cate Le Bon released her sophomore record CYRK earlier this year. It's a psychedelia-tinged folk-pop record with sometimes beautiful, sometimes darkly dissonant harmonies and angular melodies. But rather than leaving several dreamier, more intimate songs from the album's recording session on the cutting room floor, the Cardiff, Wales-based singer-songwriter decided to release them on a companion EP titled CYRK II.
Plus, Beer Talk with John Schaefer morphs into Cider Talk for the day as Cate Le Bon and John sample a couple of hard ciders from both sides of the Atlantic. Spoiler alert: Of the three, one was deemed "not delicious," and another was deemed "too delicious."
