Late Monday, twenty-three people received the annual MacArthur Fellowships -- nicknamed the Genius Award -- from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. In addition to being hailed as "geniuses," the recipients get $500,000 each. Billboard editor and Soundcheck contributor Joe Levy tells us what he would do the with money. Then, in a month of big record releases, it's hard not to notice Babel, the second release from Mumford & Sons. The record is set to top the charts, with predictions of upwards of 600,000 albums sold. We hear more about the foot-stompy, British folk-rock band that Joe Levy calls "brotastic," and how the group's touring strategy has really paid off.
