Since its 2010 debut, Los Angeles surf-pop band Best Coast has become an indie phenomenon -- so much so that the lead singer Bethany Cosentino’s cat, Snacks, has more than 10,000 Twitter followers.

The band's sophomore album, the California-centric The Only Place, has solidified Cosentino and Bobb Bruno's place in indie rock thanks to its carefree summery hooks, shimmering guitar lines and words that both allude to falling in love and serve as odes to the sunny beaches that the band calls home.

Best Coast recently dropped by the studio for a performance of songs from the new record and to talk about its newfound success, covering Fleetwood Mac, and, of course, Snacks the cat.

Set List:

  • "The Only Place"
  • "No One Like You"
  • "How They Want Me To Be"

Guests:

Best Coast
