Though his backing group the Pharmacists has changed lineups half a dozen times, Ted Leo himself is nothing if not consistent. In the decade since the breakup of his prior band Chisel, Leo has yet to release a bad album, and has gained a reputation as an electrifying live performer. "Even Heroes Have to Die" is an advance track from The Brutalist Bricks, Leo's sixth solo EP and his first for New York's Matador label.
