A fixture on the New York jazz scene for nearly three decades, saxophonist David Binney has dedicated himself to progressive jazz. Not only is he heralded as one of the most gifted musicians and composers on the alternative jazz scene, he also has a decade-long standing gig at the city's home to new jazz, the 55 Bar. On this track, Binney leads his quartet in a wailing, hauntingly beautiful melody that dramatically waxes and wanes.
