When the first Neon Indian singles started lighting up the blogosphere last spring, people were just as fascinated with the group's lo-fi indie pop as they were with finding out the identities of the band members: for months no one knew who was in Neon Indian. Eventually the mystery was solved - musician Alan Palomo writes the songs and video artist Alicia Scardetta supplies visuals - but the enthusiasm for Neon Indian's hazy, synth-happy sound hasn't waned. This track, one of Neon Indian's recent singles, which cleverly combines an amiable melody with electro-poppiness, has also received critical praise.
