Drawing on punk, garage rock, and blues influences, the Willowz churn out the kind of gritty, howling rock that should be played when speeding, trashing a hotel room, or getting into an epic bar fight. On "Repetition" the California group masters the hard party sound, but their playing is also tight and soulful, evidence that the band members have studied both their instruments and their musical influences well.
