Philly indie rock/pop quartet Drink Up Buttercup has drawn comparisons to the Beatles, Beach Boys and Frank Zappa. This may seem like a strange mix, but after you hear their playful psychedelic sound and subtle harmonies, and see them banging on trash cans in their live shows, you'll get the associations. In this track, DUB combines tripped out keyboard and adrenalized percussion with child-like lead vocals and deep, faintly foreboding backing vocals, creating a tune that's less blithe and more impish.
