Since he first came onto the jazz scene in the 1970s, pianist Tardo Hammer has worked with numerous jazz heavyweights. But one man in particular has fascinated him: noted composer/arranger and pianist Tadd Dameron. In 2007, Hammer released an album of Dameron covers called Look Stop and Listen: The Music of Tadd Dameron. On this this track from that album, Hammer performs his interpretation of a bright and upbeat Dameron composition.
