Quick hits of live music.

The Decemberists at The Greene Space

Storytelling comes easily to The Decemberists. Over four critically acclaimed albums, the Portland, Oregon group has pumped out epic songs that play to indie rock’s literary side. But the band’s latest release is truly ambitious: an hour-long, 17-track rock opera called The Hazards of Love.

Easy Star All-Stars

The NYC based reggae collective Easy Star All-Stars have made their name doing reggae covers of legendary rock albums by Radiohead and Pink Floyd. For their third effort, they’ve gone after the granddaddy of concept albums: the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper. Here's their performance of, "She’s Leaving Home".

A Camp

She is a self-described pop monster from the country of Abba. He is a former post-punker who now does movie scores. But when they combine forces, they are A Camp, a band formed by Nina Person, front-woman of The Cardigans, her husband Nathan Larson, guitarist for Shudder to Think, and guitar player Niclas Frisk.
