Brian Kelly, the Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who performs as So Cow, came up with his moniker after supervising a spelling test at a Korean summer camp during which a child misspelled the word "such." Kelly transformed the flub into his stage name and, ironically, started performing highly literate indie pop/rock songs. "Start Over," from Kelly's new album Meaningless Friendly, rocks with a vintage pop, animated quirkiness as Kelly sings in his characteristic frank style.
