Not long after multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Steve Shiffman left Toronto to move to New York, he met up with drummer Pete Hayes of the Figgs and formed the first incarnation of Steve Shiffman & the Land of No. One EP and a few successful tours later, the project grew from a duo to an alt-country-leaning quintet fronted by Shiffman. This track, from the band's 2009 debut, mostly rocks out in '90s alt-rock era fashion, but Shiffman's subtle, high-pitched twang hints at the group's country-tinged tastes.
