Greg Osby established himself as one of the regulars of the Blue Note label for 16 years, but in 2008 the innovative saxophonist moved over to the Inner Circle label to release the outing Nine Levels. Working with a quintet that included rising Portuguese vocalist Sara Serpa, Osby turned out an original album that played up his distinctive experimental, free jazz style. Smooth yet curious, album cut "Tolerance" glides with inventive grace.
