They announced the release of their upcoming debut album last month, but the hometown new wave trio known as Violens isn't exactly new to the scene (evidenced by their upcoming dates opening for big shots MGMT). The outfit first started playing around town and garnering buzz back in 2007, and since then they've dropped an EP and a mixtape or two. On this track from their forthcoming long-player Amoral (due out in September), the band offer up a post-punk tune full of '80s influenced angsty pop and dance floor beat.
