Indie pop band Miniature Tigers seem to be on a two-year cycle when it comes to major moments in the group's career. In 2006, they were named "one of the 25 best bands on MySpace" by Rolling Stone. Then, in 2008, the group dropped its debut album. And just last month, the Phoenix-born, now Brooklyn-based quartet released its sophomore effort, Fortress. Produced by Neon Indian's Alan Palomo, the album cut "Gold Skull" is a blippy, synthy charmer that calls to mind Of Montreal's quirky electro-pop.
