Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara, simply known as Hiromi, hit the ground running in the early 2000s, releasing a number of albums and climbing up the jazz ranks to become an admired player. But it wasn't until this year that she released a record of herself playing solo. This cut from the solitary effort Place To Be shows off Hiromi's charming exuberance as she bangs out a playful original tune.
