Raised primarily in Paris by parents from the Central African Republic, Bibi Tanga was exposed to both Afrobeat via Fela Kuti and the soulful American grooves of Curtis Mayfield and others. As a result, Tanga's music is a mélange of cosmopolitan funk. On this track from his worldwide debut Dunya, Tanga and his band, the Selenites, blend Afro-funk drive with club pulse.
