Lauded New York-based pianist Taka Kigawa revels in playing a diverse repertoire which includes everything from baroque to avant-garde pieces. (He has a special affinity for the work of Pierre Boulez.) Tonight, Kigawa will perform the French composer's first piano sonata at a recital that will also feature pieces by Anton Webern and Iannis Xenakis. Kigawa takes on an excerpt from Boulez's open-form in "Piano Sonata No.3."
