In her work, singer Amy Cervini covers artists way outside the jazz idiom, including Depeche Mode and Willie Nelson, with a carefree, jazz-tempered spin. But she is also adept at offering up her own take on American Songbook ditties such as "Bye Bye Country Boy." Here, Cervini gives a mellow and endearing performance which is enriched by a sure-footed solo by saxophonist Joel Frahm.
