This Brooklyn-based avant-garde outfit have one foot in the experimental realm and the other in the world of primeval music-making. Guitarist Matty McDermott and enigmatic lead singer Eri Shoji lead the quartet with trippy licks and wordless vocals in a sound akin to forest creatures rocking out. On "Snow Song," McDermott's beautiful and mysterious guitar perfectly underscores Shoji's cryptic vocals.
