Joe Cuba, who died almost exactly one year ago, scored his biggest hit with this 1966 track, but the career of this Latin music luminary spanned over half a century. A newly released compilation captures Cuba's music from the '50s, '60s and '70s, including the celebratory chart-topper "Bang Bang," which spearheaded the half-Latin, half-soul musical movement known as Latin Boogaloo. Tonight, Latin fusion contemporaries such as Chico Mann and the Boogaloo Assassins come together to celebrate the release of this anthology.
