"Moskowitz Remix"
Playing at: Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker St., Greenwich Village)

Abraham Inc.'s mad scientist mashup of klezmer and funk is intriguing enough, but the group's lineup is even more interesting. This ambitious collective brings together trombonist and former James Brown right hand man Fred Wesley, klezmer fusion clarinetist David Krakauer and rapper/producer Socalled (also a fan of klezmer hybrids). The result, on tracks such as the foot-stomping, horn-happy, beat-rific "Moskowitz Remix," is music that playfully straddles genres, cultures and generations. Tonight's performance is a CD release party for Abraham Inc.'s new album Tweet Tweet.
