While Brooklyn was busy becoming the indie music mecca, Russ Waterhouse and Lea Cho of Blues Control were making atmospheric noise-rock in Queens. The duo, now based in Virginia, create otherworldly instrumentals descendant but not derivative of Kraftwerk. "Tangiers" is a hypnotic swirl of spacey guitars, entrancing keyboards and electronic beat that chugs along like some dreamy locomotive.
