Guitarist Kevin Barker may keep company with some known freak-folkers, like Joanna Newsom and Devendra Banhart (whom he often plays with in the band Vetiver), but on the title track from his solo debut, Barker offers up a warm, subdued tune that's less avant-garde and more folk-rock. Swaddled in easygoing guitar and Barker's affable vocals, which have been compared to those of Jerry Garcia, "You & Me" may be too comfortable for some, but may suit others looking for a cozy, rootsy sound.
