The star of this sprawling, cinematic instrumental by the Depreciation Guild is a revamped 8-bit Nintendo. The trio, made up the Pains of Being Pure at Heart bandmates Kurt Feldman and Christoph Hochheim and Hochheim's twin brother Anton, gained attention for their synthy dream-pop peppered with video game-esque electronics. On this track, the chippy whirls and drones of the modified game system accompanies capricious guitar and drum machine percussion on a bittersweet tune.
