Curtis O'Mara and Michael Coomers, high school pals and two-thirds of the Texas rock trio Harlem, first started making music together as teens in their native Tuscon, Ariz. before taking up residence in different cities. Eventually they hooked back up and made a go of music in a few more towns, but it wasn't until O'Mara and Coomers moved to Austin and added bassist Jose Boyer to the lineup that Harlem started to make some waves. On this track from their latest release Hippies, the garage punk outfit lean more toward the garage sound with jangly guitars and vintage pop tunefulness.
