"If Time Was for Wasting"

Newcomer and Louisiana native Dylan Leblanc grew up the son of a session player in legendary Muscle Shoals, Ala., so it's really no surprise that the singer-songwriter set out to make rich, rootsy country-folk as an adult. Next month Rough Trade will release Leblanc's debut album Pauper's Field, which will feature guest vocals from Emmylou Harris (not bad for a guy who's yet to turn 21). This track from the record shuffles with a high, lonesome grace that's simultaneously lush and layered.
