Pianist Geri Allen isn't content simply resting on her laurels and reminiscing about her 30 years on the jazz scene. Instead, the accomplished piano player has kept busy the last few months releasing two new albums, the latter of which is a live recording with her Timeline quartet, which features tap dancer Maurice Chestnut as one of the group's percussionist. On this track, the clickety-clack of Chestnut's steps seamlessly meld into Allen's exuberant key work and the rest of the ensemble's jaunty mood.
