With ties to '60s protest singers and the acclaimed gospel group Sweet Honey in the Rock via her parents, it's no wonder that Toshi Reagon grew up to wield a guitar and belt out her own folk, blues and rock-oriented songs. She's been known to sing her share of political tunes, but she also has a talent for producing charming pop melodies, evidence by the smooth gospel-tinged harmonies and fetching beat of this sweet ditty from her album Until We're Done. Tonight she performs with her band Big Lovely alongside special guests including punk soulster Tamar-kali.
