Headlights went through some rough times trying to record their third LP, Wildlife. After the group entered the studio to work on the album, friction and bad vibes led to the departure of one of the members (guitarist John Owen) and the breakdown of the entire recording session. The band eventually went back into the studio and completed the album, but the tumultuousness left its mark on Headlights' often jubilant indie pop. The lilting melody and beach guitars of "Get Going" sound sunny, but the lyrics divulge a restless melancholy.
