Alan Wilder, the man behind the electronic project Recoil and the former drummer/keyboardist for Depeche Mode, began Recoil as a side project while he was still playing with DM. As a result, Recoil took a backseat while Depeche Mode enjoyed its heyday. But Wilder did manage to have a Recoil hit in 1992 before leaving his more famous band and devoting himself to Recoil full-time. This electro-industrial track, which appears on the new Recoil compilation Selected, features Wilder teaming up with vocalist Douglas McCarthy of the band Nitzer Ebb.
