Sufjan Stevens has made music about historical events, roadways and even serial killers. But his latest project, the electro-pop album The Age of Adz (pronounced ODDS), is a self-reflexive record dealing with themes of love and death. (Plus, there's a cosmic thing going on too.)
Ahead of Stevens' back-to-back concerts in Prospect Park in August, he performed "Futile Devices" live in WNYC's Soundcheck studios.
And here's Stevens performing "Pleasure Principle."
