Since relocating to Brooklyn in 2003, Atlanta-born singer-guitarist Michael Daves has become a fixture in the local bluegrass scene. He pairs Southern spirit with urban grit in his music, performing with mandolinist Chris Thile, among others, and holding court at the Rockwood every Tuesday night. Daves’s 2007 solo debut was even recorded at the Lower East Side haunt.
