Harpist Edmar Castaneda is a New Yorker…by way of Bogota, Columbia. The music he makes takes the folk traditions of his South American birthplace -- and sets them against contemporary jazz gestures. This new release from Edmar Castaneda, called “Double Portion,” shows his mix of tradition and improvisation.
