New York electronic duo MS MR have turned heads with their music as well as their methods. The songs on their debut LP were first released, for free, on their Tumblr blog. The band takes to this forum often, posting several times per day with anything from a new song to an animated GIF or three.
It’s a release method that comes off as both mysterious and open, and the songs themselves reflect this duality. MS MR’s songs would float on air...if it wasn't for a muted groove pushing them along. They would be brooding and dark...if they weren't also so energetic. The band thrives on insular interplay...but are also so open to collaboration that their most recent release is an EP full of remixes, one of which you can download right here.
