This picture doesn't do last night's NASA show at Emo's Annex justice. (It turns out iPhones aren't even good for taking pictures at SXSW this year, much less making a phone call.) But imagine this: two DJs in orange astronaut suits spinning high-octane remixes of unusual matchups (Kool Keith and Tom Waits). OK, now add two dancers in gold bikinis. (Oh, and I almost forgot: the dancers are painted green from head to toe. They're 'aliens,' you see.) Finish this off with an overhead projection of classic urban action movies.

That's what it takes to pack this outdoor venue and get a stiff indie crowd to indulge in a little booty shaking.
