Live on Soundcheck: Corin Tucker Band

Monday, November 08, 2010

Portland riot grrl Corin Tucker recruits multi-instrumentalist Seth Lorinczi and percussionist Sara Lund to perform with her on Tucker's solo album 1,000 Years. Lyrically speaking, the former Sleater-Kinney founder steps out from her former punk rock agenda on this album, a self-described "middle-aged mom record." But don't for a minute think she's peeled away her penchant for shredding on the guitar. We captured some of it in this performance of "Thrift Store Coats" when she paid a visit to Soundcheck.
