Scottish signer and songwriter K.T. Tunstall first appeared with guitar and loop-pedal in hand in 2004, toting a downtown blues single called “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” which became a serious radio hit in Britain that was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Female Pop Performance category in 2007. Now, after gaining some personal insight on a trip to Greenland and learning about synthesizers on a trip to Berlin, she’s presenting her third album, Tiger Suit. With its jubilant glockenspiels and whirring synths, “Fade Like a Shadow,” perfectly illustrates Tunstall’s smart brand of dance-friendly pop.
