The English singer-songwriter Damon Gough won Britain’s prestigious Mercury Prize in 2000 for an album he recorded under the name "Badly Drawn Boy." Gough also composed songs for the soundtrack to “About a Boy,” the 2002 film adaptation of a Nick Hornby novel. Recently, he nearly quit the music biz altogether. Gough joins John Schaefer, the host of Soundcheck and New Sounds, in the Soundcheck studios to talk about his career and seventh album, “It's What I'm Thinking.”
